Desde la ciudad tomamos la Ruta Nacional Nº3 hacia el Norte. Al alejarse del Canal Beagle, el camino nos pone frente a los montes Olivia y Cinco Hermanos, como así también el Valle Carbajal, desde donde observaremos una explotación de turba.
Continuando nuestro recorrido, atravesaremos el Valle de Tierra Mayor, con otros imponentes cerros que nos irán acompañando a lo largo del camino. A partir de ese momento, comenzaremos a conocer los distintos centros invernales, con sus criaderos de perros siberianos y huskies, los cuales ofrecen variadas actividades en la época invernal, y donde podremos deleitarnos con el exquisito cordero fueguino durante todo el año. Como así también, observaremos el centro de esquí alpino Cerro Castor, que se ha convertido en uno de los centros mas elegido por los esquiadores y uno de los mas importantes de Argentina.
Luego de 60 km llegaremos a uno de los puntos mas importantes de nuestro paseo: El paso Garibaldi. A 500 mts sobre el nivel del mar, realizamos el cruce de la Cordillera de los Andes y desde allí tendremos la vista panorámica del Lago Escondido y Fagnano.
Continuaremos nuestro viaje por la misma ruta, hasta llegar a un punto estratégico desde donde podremos visitar la costa del Lago Fagnano.

Leaving Ushuaia to the east on the national road 3 once out of the urban area we face in the critical shape of the Olivia Mount and the Carbajal valley where we found a fueguian peat covered valley , there, is the first stop.
We continue going along the road where all the winter centres are located. It is possible to appreciate one of the most traditional activities as the breeding and training of dogs for sledding.
Crossing the Andean range from south to north, the road climb up to the highest point of our tour at the Garibaldi passage also with the wonderfull view of the Escondido Lake. Descending after to the lake’s shore
The road continue on the north direction passing by old sawmills and a flattish landscape where we found an spectacular Fagnano Lake, there where the island is almost divided in two halves by this enormous body of water.

Desde 1994 el Tren del Fin del Mundo retomó parte del antiguo recorrido que realizaba el tren de los presos, el cual partía desde el presidio de Ushuaia con el objetivo de conseguir materiales (madera y piedra) para la construcción del mismo. La Estación del tren se encuentra a tan solo ocho km de la ciudad. A bordo podrá escuchar la historia de los presos y deleitarse con magníficos paisajes, compuestos por el zigzagueante río Pipo, la cascada La Macarena, el cementerio de árboles y el majestuoso bosque de lengas. De esta manera se visitará una parte inaccesible del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, donde usted podrá disfrutar de esta experiencia a bordo de un ferrocarril de época, con sus locomotoras a vapor y elegantes coches que cuentan con amplios ventanales y un sistema de audio individual.
Comenzando su recorrido fuera del Parque Nacional, luego de 1 hs de trayecto realizando la parada ya mencionada, se accede al Parque Nacional finalizando su recorrido para poder continuar con la excursión del mismo.
IMPORTANTE: Este paseo opcional se combina con la “Excursión Clásica Parque Nacional” realizando solo el trayecto de ida.

Since 1994 the Train of the End of the World resumed part of the old route that carried out the train of the prisoners, which used to departure from the prison of Ushuaia with the objective of obtaining materials (wood and stone) for the construction of the same one. The train station is just eight km from the city. On board you can listen to the history of the prisoners and enjoy magnificent landscapes, composed of the zigzagging Pipo River, the La Macarena waterfall, the tree cemetery and the majestic Lenga forest. In this way you will visit an inaccessible part of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you can enjoy this experience aboard a vintage railway, with its steam locomotives and elegant cars that have large windows and an individual audio system.
Starting your tour outside the National Park, after 1 hs of journey making the stop already mentioned, you access the National Park ending its journey to be able to continue with the excursion of the same one.
IMPORTANT: In order for both tours to be combined, the train route is one way.

Ubicado a 11 km hacia el sudoeste de la ciudad, es el único parque donde se combinan bosque, montaña y mar.
Siguiendo el recorrido de la Ruta Nacional Nº3, llegaremos a la ladera del Monte Susana, testigo de la actividad forestal que se realizaba principalmente en la época del presidio, hasta llegar al Valle del Río Pipo, por dónde ingresaremos al área protegida.
El parque presenta un típico paisaje glaciario, donde alternan valles ocupados por ríos y lagos. Preserva el bosque subantártico, en el que encontreremos tres tipos de árboles: Lenga, Ñire y Guindo. También podremos conocer los extensos turbales y sus características. La avifauna es muy diversa y fácil de observar. Dentro de los mamíferos podemos encontrar el Zorro Colorado. Como así también podemos ver especies introducidas de gran impacto ambiental, como el conejo y el castor.
Dentro de los puntos mas visitados se encuentra el Lago Acigami (ex Lago Roca) desde donde se puede apreciar el emblemático Cerro Cóndor y la Cordillera Darwin.
El sector costero presenta la Bahía Ensenada, que cuenta con la famosa oficina de correo postal, y la Bahía Lapataia, que además de cautivar por su belleza, tiene gran valor simbólico por representar el final de la Ruta Nacional Nº3.
Dentro del Parque hay gran cantidad de senderos señalizados, de distintas dificultades y duración, como los senderos de la Isla, Laguna Negra, Costera, entre otros.

Leaving the urban area of Ushuaia , going along the sea cost avenue where is possible to appreciate the Beagle Channel. Passing among the Sussana Mount, the first stop will be at The station of the Train of the End of the World where the passengers will be able to take this optional tour.
Entering in the recreative area of the National Park specially designed to show the visitor a unique combination of landscapes in Argentina.
Here our path immerse our visitor into the subantartic forest of deciduous beechs covering the Andes slopes to contemplate how it ends into the sea.
With stops at Ensenada Bay. The Acigami lake, the view point (gazebo) at the Laguna Verde and the legendary end of the panamerican highway at the Lapataia Bay.We will have the opportunity of recognizing flora and fauna .
During this tour it will be a stop at the Visitors center with facilities of cafeteria .
It is possible to walk on the different trails which will be subject to weather conditions and passengers security.
